Design Principle 1

Honor your creative rhythm

Sustained productivity for the sake of profit alone does not align with our true purpose as creators. Instead, honor your natural circadian rhythms of creativity. Make space for rest, reflection, and play as integral parts of the creative process. Follow the paths where your instincts naturally lead you, and remain attentive to signs indicating the need for growth. Together, strive to develop systems, environments, and opportunities that allow everyone and everything to flourish and fully explore their unique creative potential.

“Consider your craft as an energy alive in you. It’s just as much apart of the cycle of evolution as other living things are. It wants to grow. It wants to flower.”

-Rick Rubin

Design Principle 2

Design for well-being

Designing for well-being embraces people, the planet, nature, and objects as interconnected parts of a greater whole. It extends beyond the physical products and services we create to include the mindfulness we cultivate and how we engage with the world around us. Approach every aspect of the process with kindness and respect. Reflect on each decision: Does it move us closer to the better world we envision, one where all can live and thrive?

Design Principle 3

Small steps still make progress

Progress doesn’t have to be linear, and small steps will still lead you to your destination. Embrace failure as an opportunity to learn and grow. To sustain momentum, break large tasks and complex problems into manageable, achievable pieces. Remember, you have the power to choose the direction your momentum takes—and to change course when needed.
